Yes my Dad said that to me when I was a young boy. I suppose he trusted in the guidelines he'd given me to make the right choices for each category. Don't wee on the toilet seat because Mum and my sister had to use it. Don't spit chewing gum out in the street because when it get's hot in summer it might stick to your Mum's shoe. Never bully anyone! Never be bullied by anyone, well you get the message.
Based on true events or not, the difficulty I have with this film Is that we know it was a lot worse. Were human beings lacking any sense of morality when they enslaved other humans for profit? Did white men seriously believe they were superior to black men? Was this an American general belief? Had the persecution of the native American's desensitised a whole nation?
