​While you're at it, feel the history of this restaurant - in family since 1966 xxx

I found HALEPI by accident really, I was staying in the area and had wandered off for a munch. HALEPI was packed! Full tables - busy busy... I ventured in and asked if I get something to take away, I was staying nearby, would that be poss? A chicken Kebab? 
I saw the waiter look for approval at a rather distinguished man sitting on my right. It was a nod.
"Could I get a whiskey? While I wait?"
"What Whiskey?"
"Single Malt?"
I noticed another nod, and the waiter appeared a minute later opening an 18 year old? (I can't swear to the vintage) Glenfidich  - I had 3 or 4, offered the owner a drink, but he doesn't. 
I'm not comparing, but I've managed a bar in very busy south London club expertly...but not this expertly.

What I'm trying to say is I often look a bit scruffy, I'm a take me as you find me person. Paul Smith pants, second hand vest type of guy or vice virca .... I really felt this restaurant , I think it felt me... that's why I'm banging on about it...! It's Real!  Best pp xx
