'Abstractions Volume Two'
‘Abstractions Volume Two’ is the second in an on going series of experimental sounds and is released on limited edition vinyl and CD and available to download. Featuring eight ambient tracks to open the mind and soothe the soul, the new collection sees him immerse himself into a warm, reflective and contemplative set perfect for leisurely deep listening.

‘I’ve been listening to ambient music for many years, but over the past few years I’ve been listening to it quite differently, mainly taking on board Pauline Oliveros’ ‘deep listening’ ideas, and also using drone music for meditation, which has had remarkable results. This music has called me at a fundamental level. Great ambient or drone can be utterly transcendent. It’s real electronic soul music.” - Richard Norris
‘Abstractions Volume Two’ includes the track ‘In A Heartbeat’ which is the soundtrack to Marcus Lyall’s audiovisual installation of the same name that currently resides in the foyer of the Uncommon workspace on London’s Liverpool Street. The work is a collaboration featuring Lyall, an artist known for his work as lighting designer for the Chemical Brothers, Norris and neuroscientist James Kilner. The music and visuals in this large-scale installation react to participant’s heartbeat and variable pulse rate, with psychedelic results. The installation will be displayed for twelve months and it’s like being trapped in the opening sequence of a 1960’s Dr Who episode.
