I heard Matt Monro jnr on Radio London talking to Robert Elms. I came in half way through and my ears perked up when i heard that Sinatra had praised the talent of this singer from Shoreditch London. Who is that? I thought...
It soon became clear, ah .. Matt Monro i said to myself as soon as his son spoke about his father, and then the stage production about his fathers life.
Trust Robert Elms to bring this to my attention... (love his London passion)
It was a frank conversation, Robert pointed out that Matt Monro was a heavy drinker, he died at the age of 53 - well i think they said 53. I'm not looking it up to confirm it. Whatever age it was it was too young. Alcohol may have contributed to his premature death.

At this point, in fact earlier, i realised i should know more about Matt Monro...
