MR.MERCEDES
and why I love it

The most important thing for me, when I'm watching, discovering a new drama - on one of the many streaming platforms .... Well surprisingly I have to get involved with the characters immediately. Then I begin to get an understanding of the characters involved in this drama - streamed drama, the kind of drama that you can rinse all day on a rainy Sunday in Crouch End London.
Don't get me wrong, I'm already on board with Mr Mercedes, because of (Brendan Gleeson), one of my favourite actors already - I start watching Mr Mercedes - I watch more, then I'm on the second episode.
By now I've researched and found out that this 'Mr.Mercedes' is based on a book - a series of books by Stephen King. Now I've never read a Stephen King book, but I'm really getting involved with this Visual version of the book. I do a little digging to find out that Stephen King is on the production team... From this I relate in a tiny way to the way I write, and the characters I develop in my imagination - almost placing them in a cinematic experience. Something I borrowed from Keith Waterhouse and Willis Hall - which helped their books, plays, effortlessly switch genre, 'Loneliness of the long distance runner', the 'Billy Liar' Play, adapted to a film script - all made possible because the writers of the characters could adapt, they knew so well how their characters would behave on stage, screen, or Tv. - Thats it - have a look - see what you think. Best pp xx
