Your Song x
Bernie Taupin wrote the lyric for Your Song on the roof of 20 Denmark Street one morning in London. Elton was working for a publisher in the building.
I'm glad he wrote "Sat on The Roof" when he was sat on the roof..
The song was a B side in the states. "Take Me To The Pilot" was the A side. The DJ's favoured "Your Song" - Same here 😊
The way Elton and Bernie created together is up there as the best ever. It was a gift, one which they found and used.
Your Song charted both sides of the atlantic and has made it into some top Bill Board song pole or other.
Whatever they say it's in the top ten best songs ever written in the whole wide world! Trust.
Just Listen! and listen..... Tim Seed x
