As promised we caught up with the very busy and very talented Michael Kilbey after his sell out London show.
Hi Michael firstly how was the show?
Show was solid thank you. Sound wasn't the best on stage but everyone went home happy and some great feedback.
Things seem to be happening really fast for you what's next?
Next is probably to do a video for 'The Wild'. Track 3 of the EP and then start some new recordings!
Where did your music come from, any family influences?
From my mum playing cassette tapes in the car. Chris Rhea, Dire Straits etc. And having a first music teacher believe in me.
And on an inspirational level any stand out person?
Morrissey, Kurt Cobain, Dave Grohl and the guys from King Adora (so no, more than one!).
I have to say that the production on your EP, voice in particular is Brilliant do you produce yourself?
The EP was produced by Matt Lawrence in London Bridge at The Pool Studios. I produce at home too but only for demo purposes.

Finally we have a section on books that influenced your life anything spring to mind?
I must say not really. I've never taken musical inspiration from a book, but I loved Perfume by Patrick Suskind. It's fantastic.
Thanks Michael and good luck with your future projects .... Pauliepaul! X
