Interview
Hi Anna, we all love the single at Phacemag - on so many levels - and not many people will be able to say they knocked Marilyn Monroe off the cover of Phacemag!
Are you ok talking about the message/ inspiration behind the single, I'll put a quote in (below) about 'Silience'

The track delves into Miss Wolf’s own struggle with anxiety; which was born in her childhood by bearing witness to domestic violence.
The inspiration to make this song she follows up to the first single "Believer" was taken from her numerous encounters with fans, or as she refers to them, her fellow 'wolves', who felt safe in sharing their own stories of mental illness with her.
Yes paulie, I would love to talk about the message behind 'Silence', which is the message behind my work in general!
I feel that we are all here to serve a purpose. Nothing is random and everything is at it should be. Every person that enters your life is there to share a message or be an exchange of energy.
Wow, to say that nothing is random is very brave, but you mentioned interaction with fans who feel an affinity ...I can relate to this after a really bad breakdown following a divorce - people seemed to be able to talk to me about personal issues, feelings even...
Is this what you meant?
Music has the ability to make our minds escape, enter into some sort of vortex and in my case when you know my work and have attended my shows, it becomes evident that my form of expression gives people the freedom to be honest and face their situation.
I get the sense that my fans trust me. If I can be an ear for someone to empty their heart of any pain or question then I have served my purpose.

I’m getting interested in artist's 'London' - prob from listening to Robert Elms on Radio London..
Firstly what’s your relationship with London like?
London is beautiful. It is a complete whirlwind of energy.
As much as I will always love South Africa, London has steadily become my second home.
I think London is a whirlwind of energy because of artists like yourself...
What about a favourite view Anna?
My favourite view, would have to be from or at 'The Shard'.
Fav cafe?
My Favourite Café, too many to mention, but right now I would have to say it is Mave Street Market.
What about a venue?
The Ned, Mirth Marvel and Maud…counting down the days to The O2 Shepherds Bush.
Yes I've put a link to the event at Mirth Marvel and Maud below, but I'm sure it won't be long before The O2 arena beckons!
Fav fictional London character Anna?
Paddington Bear.
Great choice but with a sad background if the film is to believed, I felt a bit like him when I got to London in 98...but I didn't have a sandwich under my hat...
Have you always been musical, did you know from young you wanted to do this?
If not what was your first love creatively?
I have always been musical from the age of 10 , I wrote my first song about lipgloss. Funny right? ...
Are you happier being on stage performing or working in the studio, your clearly a performer.. but which do you prefer?
I have literally always wanted to be on stage, writing music, being creative was my energy source my outter purpose.
Being on stage is where I psychically come alive and being in studio is where my intellect is challenged. They both have beautiful and raw elements to them. I need them both.
Thanks so much Anna Wolf!
Will I be seeing you at the show Paulie?
I'm hopeless with 'when' things are on! But if at all possible yes! I'll definitely make it a priority how's that..
Thanks so much Anna Wolf, and I'm going to give you a Howoooooh for luck, not that you'll need any!
