"by far the greatest British abstract painter ... John Hoyland was an artist who was never afraid to push the boundaries. His paintings always feel like a massive celebration of life to me." : Damien Hirst
It's no secret that I'm a fan of (Anni) Ann Margaret Hogan. From her glorious time with Marc Almond, in Marc and The Mamba's. Through to Kickabye, Anni's first solo album which I bought from Selectadisc Nottingham, on its release all those years ago. Too many glorious projects in-between brought me to Honeysuckle Burials, an exquisite work which truly highlighted Anni's ability to produce incredible music, full of emotion, music that stirs, and which I considered and awarded Phacemag's Album of the year 2020.
Ann Margaret Hogan's latest album 'Funeral Cargo' is ....

The most important thing for me, when I'm watching, discovering a new drama - on one of the many streaming platforms .... Well surprisingly I have to get involved with the characters immediately. Then I begin to get an understanding of the characters involved in this drama - streamed drama, the kind of drama that's based on a Stephen King Novel- With Stephen King on Production - that's why you can rinse watch tis all day on a rainy Sunday in Crouch End London. - best pp xx

He spoke to pauliepaul.
Please Watch These Short Films - You can watch Here - Far from being dry, remote echoes of a long-gone age, each poem chosen for the collection feels like it could have been written yesterday. And why shouldn’t they? People are people. Our dreams are nothing new. Our ancestors had the same hopes and fears that we do. And if we can understand this, perhaps it helps to put some of the problems of our modern world into perspective.

An intriguing tale of a bed bound girl, struck down by a mystery illness. Unable to even venture downstairs her only contact with the outside world is through her laptop and the webcams of the various people she watches, anonymously. Until, she becomes drawn in to a particular character and begins to share a little. Highly recommended - Frederika Kirsten Debrabant @ PHACEMAG

If you were to ask me how much I love this, well, the answer would be... An Awful Lot! It works on so many levels, leaving aside the genius PR...I don't mind that, I love Land Rover, even though I am writing this at my own expense ...
I have to admit, I wasn't aware of Veronica's work, until now! (call yourself a Land Rover fan...) The main thing for me is using such an iconic vehicle to inspire writing. Children writing about adventure, is something we need to promote, to keep this world still turning... Best pp xxx

I get sent a lot of emails, about this and that, but somebody mention 'British Apples and Pears'! The lovely Lily Soutter explains the benefits of pears, in particular to women during pregnancy.
If I'm honest what first caught my attention was : British Apple & Pears....Lily explains the nutritional value inside, but I love the fact that we are growing British Apple & Pears! - I don't want to undermine Lily, but surely everyone by now realises the health benefits of eating Apple & Pears? When you do, make sure they're BRITISH APPLE & PEARS! best pp x

Brilliant Album - Great Interview - more - Ed Cosens, a Sheffield born songwriter and raconteur, is here to discuss Fortunes Favour, an album he has written outside Reverendand the Maker’s rock oriented universe. Expertly produced, the songs are laced with an emotional sophistication more commonly heard in Lennon’s oeuvre, but with a technical proficiency found an eponymous McCartney album. The comparison isn’t mere window dressing on our part-Cosens has the ability to record a solo album entirely sans autres.
JIU JITSU - Staring Nicolas Cage - Eoghan Lyng talks to Director - Dimitri Logothetis about the ins & outs - "Nick is a consummate professional, and he really honours the filmmaking process. If you were to ask BELAU (Peter Kedves and Krisztian Buzas) about their music, they would say that through their music they were trying to provide a shelter for the modern human - encouraging/representing a path through to individual self-awareness - by making modern and elegant electronic beats with longing lyrics driving towards a solace of mind.
