Hello guys, straight in really, how did 'NKOS' come about?
By chance, luck and also a bit of faith, this is what each of the members felt and put into the project since the beginning because we all feel love and live for music and when you feel potential you can just follow the flow and things happen.
Ironically that's how I got to listen to your track! We get sent so much music these days, because we're not a dedicated music magazine we can't give attention to everything. (although we'll find you if your good...) However we've worked with 'Lost In The Manor' for a while so I took you home! Also I've had dealings with labels recently, labels who promise this/that but fail to produce for artists. I hope I'm not proven wrong but your label BeatBuzz just felt the real thing -

How does the dynamic of creating music work amongst you?
We work from distance and the times we can meet up and play music together are really few due to our life choices that brought us to live spread around Europe. The creative process comes out easy and spontaneously. Sometimes Chris Shape proposes a base or a carpet of synth and beats and says hey have a listen and try to see if you feel something about it. So it happens that Flavio and Nancy come out with lyrics that fits the beats and Marcus adds guitars or extra sounds. Some other times we start from a song, a musical idea in lyrics proposed by Flavio and Nancy with some guitar by Marcus and maybe some beats or synth base ideas and Shape rearrange everything fitting in other electronics or proposing other sounds that we can re-operate or re-work together. It sounds complicated but it works quite well!
Have you each worked on or still work on individual projects?
Chris works also at his solo project as Cris Shape that is more dance oriented mixing electronic music, EDM and techno. He is out on labels like International Deejay Gigolo and Unknown Pleasure Records. Previously he was part of the duo Franz&Shape. Nancy is works on her solo project and art punk band Danso Key. Check them out! Flavio works at his DJ project Smokers Die Younger together with DjC (also on Beatbuzz Records). Marcus has no individual projects at the moment.

Is visual as important as the actual track - do you consider it?
Yes visuals are important if they fit with the music, if they resemble and complete it if it is possible. But the emotion come first.
What about other creative projects out of music maybe?
Various, have to say.. Marcus is restoring antique/ancient vehicles, producing biological olive oil and, same as Flavio, also lives and breaths Basketball.
(I wonder if Marcus could help me with welding on the Phacemag Transit...)
Chris is also into visuals. Nancy is fully into music and with Flavio shares a passion for live sounds. They worked together as providers of sound services for Funktion-One in Italy and Flavio is still working in the field.
We had a Function-One system at Corsica Studios when I managed the bar there years ago...incredible sound but often peaked because dj's think that into the red is Louder... Can I ask you about playing live, does it come natural to you, is it enjoyable?
Playing live comes pretty natural as we love what we do. We are working on our live show at the moment and should start playing around the album launch which hopefully will be quite soon.
And what about in the studio, are you hands on?
Chris is producing some remixes and new releases for his solo project. But all of us beside working and living our lives are giving soul and body to music at the moment.
Finally we love the single, we wish you well with that, whats next?
Sunshine, good vibes, thousands of new horizons to explore and for the moment our first album on Beatbuzz Records, that we’re pretty sure will be followed by a second one...
