The Engine Room is pleased to announce its third international sound art competition for emerging sound artists. This year’s competition and events are organised in collaboration with IKLECTIK to celebrate their 5th anniversary.
The competition invites the submission of new sound art – including audio and audio-visual pieces, interactive works and performances, installations, sound sculptures and graphic scores - by 15 September 2019.
"The Tea Song is a nostalgic reflection on the custom of tea making, as passed on to us by our parents and grandparents.
The narrative of the song meanders loosely around how comfort and happiness are sought through the simple act of making a brew. It's a love song." So get the kettle on!
