Camden became a lot sweeter last night as Hans and Gretel played host's at their opening party -

"Once upon a time in a dark corner of London, a shop like no other emerged from the fairy tales. A very different place from the ordinary became a timeless rabbit hole, to a world where children’s laughter and adults’ memories blend in an eternal dance of magic and taste.
Allure yourself to taste a bit of magic and join the fairylands! Taste the most amazing deserts, created in front of your very eyes. Have a selfie with the sweet and good witch Emily or one of the other characters in fairy tale costumes. Release the child inside of you for an unforgettable experience and the sweetest of sweet dreams."

The Visit
Stepping into a Hans and Gretel store is like being invited into a Technicolor wonderland of sugary delights! And such a lovely welcome.
The ice creams and gelato are made in-house and served in a selection of different cones with various trimmings such as chocolate and coconut or candy sprinkles. Camden will be ice cream Central this summer!
There is a good choice of jelly pick’n‘mix sweets, giant lollies and marshmallows, all served in a fairytale setting by staff who look like Truly Scrumptious from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang in clockwork doll mode.
Hans and Gretel is certainly an experience beyond the tastebuds.
The only criticism I would make is that staff were not sure which confectionary products contain nuts and they are not labelled for allergens and my daughter is allergic to nuts. This could be a huge problem - especially considering recent legislation in the UK regarding the labelling of allergens.
Thanks so much 'Hans And Gretel, it was really 'Sweet of You!' see you very soon!
