Pére Lachaise - Paris
Travel out from central Paris on Metro line 3 as far as Gambetta Station and you will find amongst others, the burial place of Oscar Wilde.
Pére Lachaise is a fascinating destination, the list of famous graves endless including Jim Morrison the Doors singer and the "little Sparrow" Edith Piaf. Whenever I visit I always see a gross of Morrissey lookalikes with copies of 'The Little Prince' eating buttered crumpets wet with tears mopesing around Oscar Wilde's angel.
Venture further to hear the unplugged 'Break On Through' played by a perfect doppelganger sitting by Jim's 'replaced a thousand times before headstone', he carries on but I politely leave at 'The End'
I love hanging around in graveyards, but this is the business class of graveyards, when you really know you've arrived.
